Methoxypyrazine in Tiger moths
PhD Research, Helsinki University, Finland
2022-present
My doctoral research focuses on studying the diversity of methoxypyrazines produced through de novo synthesis by Tiger moths (Arctiinae). This research involves collecting as many Arctiinae species and rearing them under an artificial diet to examine if the compounds were de novo synthesized, and understand how such traits have evolved in Arctiinae and other insects.
